Fellow Expat Tales 1

In this section we are reaching out to some of our favourite bloggers around the world and simply asking them how things are! We love reading stories from people that moved to different countries in the world, or are out on a great adventure travelling.

Here’s our first Tale from a fellow Expat!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Chip Wiegand

Website: www.wiegand.org

Hello there Expat Blogger, how are you today?

Thank you, I'm fine, thank you.

What area of this amazing planet are you currently exploring?

I live in Barranquilla, Colombia. I'm not traveling, I'm an expat.

Where did you start your journey?

I am from the USA, born in Washington state, but also lived in Oregon and Arizona states.

What do you miss the most from home?

First, of course, is my two sons and my entire extended family and friends. Other than family - I miss fresh catfish. I would BBQ it with a blackened seasoning, delicious! Otherwise, there isn't much to miss, we have here pretty much everything that is available in the states. The food is different, and I love the food here. There are some different ingredients to learn about for cooking. So all-in-all, other than my family, there isn't much to miss about not living in the states.

Can you describe your blog in 3 words?

My new life.

Doing life again.

Eternal sunshine rules!

Any site you can recommend for your fellow traveller buddies?

Any particular sites? Well, there are a few very good expat sites people should look for, but in general, the net is full of travel sites and expat sites with much great information.

What is the first TV programme you are going to watch next time you get back home?

I'm not a big TV watcher. The few shows I watch I can get online. I have a borrowed TV, but it isn't even plugged into the wall, I just don't care about TV.
